Constructive ways to show love to your children

Children need to be loved. That’s a fact. For our children is our legacy, our gifts to the world. We give birth to them and bring them to the world, but it’s only through them that we live on even after our death. Though too much of anything is harming, same goes with love. Too much love can spoil the child, but regulated and appropriate amount of love, interspersed with strictness can make them grow as a fulfilling adult and live a life of prosperity.

These are constructive ways how one can show love to their kids:

 Spend time with them

Spending time with your kids is the most potent way of showing your love towards your kid. This allows the exchange of ideas, strengthening of bonds, emotions and more importantly it allows you to shower your kid with your love.

Listening to them

This is one primary duty of a parent. As a parent one must listen to what they have to say. We need to hear them, hear about their grievances, about their sweet nothings that we adore. It helps in building the kids self esteem and it shows them how much important they are to us.

Be the role model

Our children look up to us. We are their hero’s. See to it that it remains so. We need to exhibit, through our actions those values that we want to instill into them.  Admit your mistakes and apologize, be humble and be polite. Be the epitome of values that you want in your kids.

Encourage them

Encourage your child to build self esteem in them. Foster their special qualities, encourage their interests, praise them and tell them they have done a good job, when they have done so.

Unconditionally love and support them

Love is a gift, not a reward. No matter what your may be, how different they may be and what qualities they may have, love them and support them, unconditionally. Show them that whatever may happen, you will always love them and be with them in each step of their journey.
