WEAVING PROJECT

M. Sivarohini is 37 years old and has sadly been abandoned by her husband. She is living with her child in Mallavi, a village in Sri Lanka. She is also taking care of her elderly parents and her siblings. Her child is studying in grade one. To make a living, Sivarohini does spinning and weaving of sarees at home with a hand machine. However, she was unable to purchase quality wool and the needed accessories to promote more sales. ICI was able to support her and she is currently operating a successful home business. The cost of stage 1 was $1,000 and was established in April 2019.
